Cultivating spaces for extraordinary artists

ABF Artists' Needs Survey

CBF want to know the different ways they could support artists in the contemporary visual and applied arts that are experiencing barriers to their full creative potential.

How could they help you to thrive?

As a grant-maker established some 200 years ago under Royal Charter, the Artists' Benevolent Fund (ABF) supports individual visual & applied artists in need, living & working throughout England and Wales.

Artists face many challenges in developing their practice, even more so in recent years. As a funder, the ABF’s role is to support artists facing those challenges in the most effective ways it can.

The Fund is now undertaking a review to explore if there may be new and different ways in which it could support those working in the contemporary visual & applied arts & experiencing financial, social & other barriers to fulfilling their creative potential.

The ABF wants to learn more about the challenges faced by artists & how it could help them to thrive via an online Artists’ Needs Survey which remains live until 20 February.

This information is being collected for the Fund’s own purposes & to help it think about the ways in which it could support artists in the coming years.

Deadline to complete the survey is 20 February 2023.

Please feel free to share this invitation to take part across your own networks as the ABF is keen to hear from as many artists as possible.
