Cultivating spaces for extraordinary artists

Artist Call Out: WAIWAV

Earlier in the year DASH announced that we had won the prestigious Ampersand Award 2021. This was for our project proposal: We Are Visible we Are Invisible WAIWAV.

We are now looking for up to 48 d/Deaf, Disabled or Neurodivergent artists to make interventions based on Dada/Surrealism/Disability art in up to 48 Plus Tate organisations across the UK on 2 July, 2022.

This date will be the 102nd anniversary of the 1st Dada international exhibition in Berlin.

The 3 criteria for your intervention are that it must be:

  • Simple
  • Self-sufficient
  • Risk and Safety assessed

You will also need your own public liability insurance.

The fee for each intervention will be a minimum of £2000 (according to how many interventions will be happening), which will include all costs. There is a separate access budget.

An online artist information event will take place on Tuesday 28 September. More details to follow on the DASH website.

The closing date for proposals is Midnight, Monday 1 November.
