Artist in Residence - HMP Grendon

Ikon are excited to be currently recruiting for an Artist in Residence – Art at HMP Grendon. In 2022, Ikon opened the Marie-Louise von Motesiczky Studio at HMP Grendon – a dedicated art studio with a changing programme of exhibitions.

The Artist in Residence at HMP Grendon (January 2024–June 2025) will facilitate weekly workshops and co-curate exhibitions in the studio with the prison communities.

Based on evaluation with the prisoners, artists with expertise in drawing, painting, printmaking or sculpture are encouraged to apply.

Contract: Temporary, part-time 18-month fixed term
Freelance project fee: £22,725, plus £9,000 travel fee
