British Art Network Bursaries
Emerging Curators Group Bursary Opportunity
Are you involved in producing exhibitions or art research? Does this work include a focus on British art?
Are you passionate about making positive changes to the way British art is collected, displayed and interpreted?
Do you feel you have a way to go to feel well-established in your career? Would you benefit from a peer support network and professional development programme?
British Art Network don’t mind what your job title might be or where you’re doing this work. If you’ve answered ‘yes’ to the above, the British Art Network’s Emerging Curators Group (ECG) wants to hear from you!
They are looking for 15 people to form the latest Emerging Curators Group, coming together regularly over nine months from January to September 2022.
They are looking to bring together all kinds of people, particularly art workers who are Black, Asian and minority ethnic, working class, have disabilities, or are in any other way under-represented in the curatorial landscape.
Deadline: 4 October 2021, 12pm BST
Research Groups Bursary Opportunity
Do you want to contribute to the British Art Network’s expanding programme of activities?
Is there a current topic within British art curating that you want to see promoted, researched and shared?
Whether you work with a collection or gallery space, in heritage settings, in a university, or operate independently, British Art Network welcomes your proposals for their supported programme of activity in 2022.
They are offering ten bursaries to support Research Group activity either January 2022 to September 2022, or on a two-year programme to January 2022 to September 2023.
Applications may be to continue existing groups, renew former groups, or to propose entirely new groups.
Deadline: 11 October 2021, 12pm BST
