Calling Artists in Wales

In October, Disability Arts Cymru are awarding 2 small-scale and 3 large-scale commissions to self-disclosing disabled, Deaf and neurodivergent artists. This opportunity will support the artists to create they can take across the world.

This commission will help the recipients develop their practice – by installing in international spaces, gallery exhibitions abroad and work that responds to an international collection - as well as their develop their professional reputation. Therefore, Disability Arts Cymru will support the successful artists to develop international links and provide an ‘open door’ of support throughout the commissions.

This year, Cymru Fenis 10 project is focusing on supporting the international ambitions of individuals that have a diversity of lived experience. Celebrating their 40th birthday this year, Disability Arts Cymru is the leading organisation for disability arts in Wales. Disability Arts Cymru work to the social model of disability and support disabled and Deaf artists create work and grow as creatives.

Applications are open to artists who have 3 years of professional experience and are not in full-time education.

There will be Fact-Finding Workshops for people to find out more on 7 Sep at 4pm and 12 Sep at 4.30pm via Zoom.
