DYSPLA Announces 2022 Storymakers
DYSPLA, a London-based art-studio specialising in the creative and professional development of Neurodivergent artists, offers a holistic and practical script-writing residency designed to accommodate the completion of a finished manuscript.
The Residency received a total of 285 Pitches, which were varied and covered all genres: Short, Feature, TV, Theatre, VR/XR and Experimental. The selection process was rigorous and included three rounds: Longlist, Shortlist and Finalists. From the Shortlist of 25, only 9 Neurodivergent Creatives were invited to pitch their idea in person on Tuesday (the 29th of March 2022) at Hat Trick Productions in Camden.
Congratulations to: Owain Astles (Feature), Naz Simsek (Theatre), Krishna Modhwadia (TV), Kevin Muendo (Feature), Ryan Walker-Edwards, (Short), Alex Clarke (Short), Neil Anderson (TV), Law Ballard (Feature), and Natalia Skobeeva (XR).
The 2022 Judging Panel includes representatives from: Hat Trick Productions, Earl’s Court Film Festival, Signature Pictures Academy, Goldsmiths University of London and DYSPLA’s Creative Team.
All winners will receive marketing support, mentoring and five hundred pounds upon completion of the Residency and the finished manuscript. One script will also be produced into a Short Film thanks to seed funding from Earl’s Court Film Festival, another will benefit from a professional script reading at Hat Trick Productions and the third winner will receive crucial written industry feedback.
The three winners of the DYSPLA_Storymakers Residency will be announced later in April 2022.
