Open Call!

OPEN CALL FOR DISABLED EARLY-CAREER CREATIVES No Jobs in the Arts, in partnership with QUAD, want to support visual creatives working in the Midlands; they are seeking written submissions for an untitled publication documenting an exhibition that never happened.

The project will seek to promote work by disabled early-career creatives, working within the Midlands; they are particularly interested in hearing about artwork, or ideas for artwork, exploring environmental themes.

This opportunity is open to disabled early-career creatives currently living, working, or studying in the Midlands.

This open call follows the social model of disability. You do not have to be a blue badge holder or in receipt of disability benefits to be disabled.

Four creatives from the open call will be paid a half-day-fee of £125 to develop their artwork description. The developed descriptions will be included in the untitled publication.

The publication will be distributed for free online, and in print at QUAD.

The deadline for all submissions is 11pm on Monday, 27 November 2023.
