I am disabled with shaky hands caused by MS.

I used to paint canvases in oils and do some detailed illustrations in pen and ink, coloured with coloured pencils or watercolours. As my MS tremor got worse over the years, detailed images became more difficult to achieve… until I discovered collage while doing an illustration Degree at Hereford College of Art as a mature student. I now prepare textured coloured papers with Gelli printing, watercolours, crayons, cyanotype and hand-made stamps. I can stabilise my hands, and very slowly and carefully, I cut out shapes to create little stories where grandmothers walk alongside children and angels, with a little sprinkle of magic.

Having worked as a nurse for several years, the subjects of death and bereavement also come into my stories and hopefully can open a dialogue between young and old.

I self-publish small picture books where the storytelling is woven between the text and the illustrations.
