DASH Development Day

The DASH Development Day was the first in-person meeting since 2019 and the first official day for Heather Peak, our new Artistic Director/CEO. It was also the first time many of us had met in person, so there was a lot to talk about and learn about each other, which doesn’t really work on Zoom. So there was a lot to celebrate!

Our facilitators, Karen Turner and Anna Dinham, kept us fed with lively activities and discussion points, while The Studio kept us going with great fresh food and lots of coffee.

We were all asked to bring in items that related to cultural events or interests, which inspired lively discussions with each other. Items ranged from band clothing, tickets and posters for recently attended events, and books - our chair Craig Ashley even brought in a portion of his collection of copies of the Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn novel 'One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich', translated into multiple languages.

We have a lot of fantastic ideas to work on, which we will continue to develop to deliver our plans for 2023-2026 and beyond. So do watch this space and be prepared for some disruption!
