Cultivating spaces for extraordinary artists

Dispatches - A Chronicle of Disabled Women

Our FCP partners at MIMA invite audiences to a series of unique online events hosted by the IN/Visible National Disabled Women's Arts Collective based on their landmark take-over of MIMA in February 2025.

The energy of the day was incredible with profound interventions, as disabled women from history, lift liberators, performance artists, activists and rebels were brought to life, large and loud, with audiences also playing a vital role in the event.

Luckily the performances were filmed which the Collective will share in a series of online talks, with each artist giving insight into their work. They will reflect on their practice as a national collective working in a bespoke online studio, their accessible processes in community building, and how they ensure their work is accessible to audiences.

There are three events, with three artists in each session, on Mondays 9, 16 and 30 June. 2.00 - 3.30 pm. It's free but you do need to book a place. Make your access requirements known when booking if you have any.

Do join if you can - Disabled Women artists are a powerful force in our arts landscape.
