Q: I am interested in applying but have a few doubts about my skills in certain areas of the role description, or how best my skills might fit with the board.

A: At DASH, we encourage everyone who’s interested to apply, even if you have doubts. It’s all about knowing your strengths and how your experience and knowledge can add to and complement the DASH Board of Trustees. DASH will also provide new Trustees with induction, training and support so that they can start their role and journey with us with full confidence.

Q: Is this role open to artists?

A: Yes, we at DASH are a visual arts focused organisation focused on working with and supporting d/Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent artists – and we are disabled led. We currently have practicing artists as part of our board, and would welcome applications from visual artists working in any medium.

Q: For my CV, is it OK to include more information about my relevant experience?

A: Of course! It's absolutely fine to include more information about your relevant experience on your CV. In fact, providing details about your past roles, projects and achievements is your opportunity to showcase your strengths and experiences. Feel free to highlight the aspects that are most relevant to the Trustee role specification.
