SCRATCH NIGHTS X HOMEGROWN
Lowry’s Artist Development team are delighted to present Scratch Nights X Homegrown, curated in collaboration with artist Corinne.
This special online edition brings together disabled artists creating and sharing work from home. Each piece has been made for a digital audience and will be performed live via Zoom, inviting you into the artists’ own spaces.
Inspired by our recent Homegrown symposium, this edition reflects on how performance can exist beyond traditional performance spaces, opening up new ways of making, sharing and connecting. Presented alongside the Curtain Up exhibition, this event also explores what it means to come together and experience something collectively. While the work is performed from home, you’ll still be part of a live audience; sharing that sense of anticipation, connection and energy that comes from experiencing something together, even at a distance.

We’re delighted to present the following line-up:
Where Bones Take Root by Lisa Franklin
The Disabled Son by Matt Alton
Changing Shadows by Dorrie Halliday
I’m Still Here by Matt Allen

You can watch the Homegrown Symposium, which took place at Lowry on Thursday 5 Feb 2026 via the link below.https://thelowry.com/homegrown-tmnc Homegrown brought together artists, producers and organisations to explore the possibilities and challenges of home-based and situated creative practice. The symposium was curated by Lowry in partnership with Corinne, DASH (Disability Arts Shropshire) and Art Riot.
