Survey for Disabled Midlands-based creatives

Calling all disabled artists across the Midlands!

In Good Company wants to better understand the needs of disabled theatre makers and artists from across the Midlands and understand how we can instigate positive change within the industry. Their new survey will help them and others to do that. It should take no longer than 5 to 10 minutes to fill in depending on access needs.

The survey is available in written English, audio file and easy read versions which can all be found here. If you'd find it helpful, you can arrange a 1-2-1 appointment and one of their team can work through the survey with you to complete it. A BSL interpreter can be arranged if needed. In Good Company recognise that the word disabled can mean different things to different people. When using the term disabled they mean it to include, but not be limited to, people who have/are/define as learning disabled, neurodivergent, chronically ill, disabled, hearing or sight impaired, Blind, D/deaf, and or physically disabled, or live with a long term mental health condition, and or brain damage.

By 'artist' they mean anyone working in the theatre or performing arts industry, in any role, as a freelancer, part-time, full-time and at any stage of your career.

This survey will help to inform organisations about what disabled artists need to thrive in our sector. Please respond by 31 August 2026.
