Awkward Bastards at Home
The Awkward Bastards are back!
Coming to you from a bedroom/lounge/kitchen/cubby hole/Zoom room somewhere in the UK. This year DASH have commissiond five films to reflect life as a Disabled Artist during the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Join us from 6pm on Friday 19 March as we premiere the third film of the series: 'What was the Question Again?' by Emma Plover.
In this short film Emma shares experiences of ADHD and Neurodiversity .
"I find it quite hard to stay focused during video calls, I often find myself staring out the window (story of my life). I think this video attempts to illustrate how many ideas swirl around my head at any one time, I really enjoy working from home and watching the crows throw acorns around from my table-desk.
I don’t think I’ve seen ADHD or Neurodiversity represented in a way I can relate to (or much at all), so it’s nice for me to get to share my experience of it. I’ve always been lost in my own world or ‘away with the fairies’ and I love talking about how I see the world." Emma Plover
More about Emma ...
Through my creative practice, I explore my relationship to the spaces and landscapes I call home.
I'm interested in the ways I share these spaces with those around me, especially those who aren’t often seen.
By giving voice to my rural Queer experience, I seek to explore how my ADHD influences my practice as an artist and my experience of the world.
