Dr Gemma Marmalade
Dr Gemma Marmalade is an artist, academic, and cultural leader whose practice and research champion inclusive, critical, and experimental approaches in contemporary art. She brings extensive international networks and governance experience to advocate for the visibility and empowerment of Disabled, Deaf, and Neurodivergent artists.
"I chose to join the board of DASH because I believe fiercely in the necessity of amplifying the voices of Disabled, Deaf, and Neurodivergent artists within the cultural landscape. My commitment is to contribute my international networks, leadership experience, and creative insight to extend DASH’s reach and influence across borders. At this moment of global social and political uncertainty, I see the board as a vital platform to drive advocacy, innovation, and visibility for those whose perspectives are too often excluded.
I’m thrilled to join the board of DASH — it’s an inspiring opportunity to champion radical inclusion, amplify underrepresented voices, and bring fresh energy to shaping a more equitable cultural future.”
