Lucy Mounfield

Lucy (she/her) joined the team in 2024 as Assistant Curator (Support Structure).

Prior to working with DASH, she held curatorial positions at Ikon Gallery, Birmingham including Assistant Curator (2022-2024) and most recently Curator (maternity cover) (2024). She was part of the Tate and Paul Mellon Centre 2023 Emerging Curator’s group.

She was awarded her PhD in History of Art from the University of Nottingham in August 2022 having passed her viva in January of that year.

She has published on the history and theory of photography. Most recently, her peer-reviewed article – “Little Gems of Color: Kodak, Camera Design as Fashion, and the Gendering of Photography” – was published in the leading photography journal, Transbordeur (2021).
